Cast

Matt: 
This is who we think would represent Matt the best (at around age 6 or 7). In this picture the boy looks a little bit worried, and Matt sometimes gets worried about the people he cares about. The boy in this picture also looks curious, and this is also like Matt in the book. This is a quote that Matt said about wanting to see the children and horses: 
"And with that discovery grew a desire to see them more closely." (Farmer 6)

El Patron: 
We think that this man would represent the looks, personality, and character in general of El Patron. This actor's name is Viggo Mortensen from Lord of the Rings. Originally El Patron had white hair and very pale skin but we edited the picture to an extent. 
"He was extremely thin, with shoulder-length white hair neatly combed beside a face so seamed and wrinkled, it hardly seemed real." (Farmer 54)

Rosa: 
This is the picture that we are using to represent the character Rosa. Here is a quote from the book describing the maids, and Rosa: "They were wearing black dresses with white aprons and starched, white caps. One of them, a severe-looking female with deep creases down either die of her mouth, carried Matt as the others went ahead to open doors." We feel that this picture represents Rosa because the maid in the picture has a black and white apron with white caps just as the book described. The maid in this picture also represents Rosa very well because she is very severe looking. If you look at the picture she has very deep creases on the sides of both of her mouth, and this is exactly as the book described! Some of Rosa's personality traits include severe, cruel, serious, and angry. We believe this picture Rosa's appearance and personality. 
"One of them, a severe-looking female with deep creases down either side of her month, carried Matt as the others went ahead to open the doors." (Farmer 21)

Tom: 
Here is this picture that we are using as Tom. This is a quote from the book that describes Tom's appearance: "It was a boy somewhat older than himself, with bristly red hair and freckles." It is Matt saying this line in the book so I had to find someone who looked a little older than Matt. I think that this picture fits Tom's personality because Tom is somewhat rude and selfish. He is the one that tortures Matt from outside of his cell. Here are some lines that describe Tom's personality:
"You smell like a pile of dung."or "You're too dumb to talk."

Celia:
We unfortunately could not find a description about Celia in the book. When we imagine Celia, we would think of her being a bit of a larger Spanish woman with dark hair. She was a kind woman, and to me this woman looks very kind, and could be a fair "mother figure" for Matt. This woman is a maid/house keeper, in the movie The Goonies and in that movie she is funny, spanish, and kind. Because of this we thought that she would be a good match for what we imagine Celia to be. The actress is Lupe Ontiveros.
